The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has officially opened the application portal for the recruitment of 50,000 new personnel into the force. 

This massive recruitment drive follows a directive from President Bola Tinubu aimed at strengthening internal security and expanding the manpower of the Nigeria Police.

Eligibility Requirements

Before starting your application, ensure you meet the following criteria:

Nationality: Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.

 Age: General Duty: 18 – 25 years old.

 Specialists: 18 – 28 years old.

Education: General Duty: Minimum of 5 credits in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB (including English and Mathematics) in not more than two sittings.

Specialists: Minimum of 4 credits and relevant Trade Test certificates with 3+ years of experience.

Physical Standards: Height: At least 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females.

Chest (Male): Minimum of 86cm (34 inches).

Fitness: Must be physically, medically, and psychologically fit.

Character: No criminal record or history of financial embarrassment.

How to Apply Online (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Get Your NIN Ready

You must have a valid National Identification Number (NIN). Ensure the name and date of birth on your NIN match your school certificates exactly.

Step 2: Visit the Official Portal

Go to https://npfapplication.psc.gov.ng. Avoid any other links to prevent falling victim to scammers.

Step 3: Choose Your Category

Select whether you are applying for General Duty - Constable or as a Specialist (e.g., Medical, IT, Mechanic, Driver, Tailor). Note: Once chosen, you cannot change this option.

Step 4: Fill the Form and Upload Documents

Input your bio-data and upload soft copies of:

 O’Level Result(s)

 Birth Certificate or Age Declaration

 Certificate of Origin (LGA)

 Specialists: Upload Trade Test Certificates/Driver's License.

Step 5: Review and Submit

On the "Preview Page," double-check all information. Click on Final Submission. You will receive an Application Submission Slip.

Step 6: Print Your Slip

Download and print your confirmation slip. This slip contains your reference number and will be required for screening.

The Police Service Commission has emphasized that this recruitment exercise is ABSOLUTELY FREE.

Do NOT pay anyone money to "help" your application.
